Fees and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Fees will be agreed in advance of any tutoring or assessment and will be confirmed in writing.

Private assessments and tutoring will be invoiced monthly in advance. Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.

School funded assessments and tutoring will normally be invoiced following completion of the assessment or lesson, unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed. Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.

Late payment may result in future bookings being declined until outstanding balances have been settled.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

If a parent needs to cancel or reschedule a tutoring lesson, 48 hours’ notice is required. Late cancellations may be charged in full. Tutor cancellations will be rearranged where possible.

For schools, sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will normally be charged in full. Tutor cancellations will be rearranged where possible.

If a parent or school needs to cancel or reschedule a dyslexia assessment or strengths and difficulties assessment, the following charges may apply:

  • Cancellations made more than 10 working days before the assessment will not incur a cancellation charge (excluding the non-refundable booking deposit) or may be transferred to a new appointment date.
  • Cancellations made less than 10 working days before the assessment may result in the loss of the booking deposit and/or a cancellation charge to reflect administrative preparation time, reserved appointment time, and the inability to reallocate the session at short notice.
  • Failure to attend without prior notice may result in the full assessment fee being charged.
  • If the child is unwell or there are exceptional circumstances, every effort will be made to reschedule without additional penalty.
  • If the assessor needs to cancel, a new date will be offered or a full refund provided.
  • Cancellations made less than 5 working days before the assessment, or failure to attend on the day, may result in the full assessment fee being charged.

If the school needs to cancel or reschedule an exam access arrangements assessment, the following charges may apply:

  • Cancellations made more than 10 working days before the assessment will not incur a cancellation charge.
  • Cancellations made between 5 and 10 working days before the assessment will incur 50% of the agreed assessment fee.
  • Cancellations made less than 5 working days before the assessment, or failure to attend on the day, may result in the full assessment fee being charged.

Where exceptional circumstances arise, every effort will be made to agree an alternative assessment date where appropriate.
