About Us
Ruth
I am an experienced Specialist Teacher and Dyslexia Assessor based in Cheltenham. I work with children, young people and adults, providing comprehensive diagnostic dyslexia assessments for learners aged 8–25, including assessments to support applications for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA). I also offer strengths and difficulties assessments where a full diagnostic assessment is not required.
Alongside assessment, I provide specialist tuition for children with dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD and autism (ASD), primarily from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 3. Using a personalised, multi-sensory and evidence-based approach, I help learners build on their strengths, develop effective learning strategies and grow in confidence, resilience and motivation.
I work collaboratively with schools to assess students for exam access arrangements. I also provide practical, evidence-based recommendations that support pupils’ learning and participation in the classroom.
I provide study skills support and mentoring for university students, helping them develop effective strategies and succeed throughout their higher education journey.
I believe that with the right understanding and support, every learner can flourish.
Emma
I am an experienced dyslexia and ADHD/ASD specialist tutor, supporting secondary school students across Key Stages 3 to 5 with all aspects of literacy and study skills. I work one-to-one with students on the key skills of the GCSE English Language syllabus, with multi-sensory teaching sessions tailored to individual learning styles. My lessons focus on building self-confidence, empowering students to become independent learners.
I am able to assess and advise on exam access arrangements and liaise with schools on behalf of pupils and parents. Additionally, I work with neurodiverse university students to enhance their study skills, helping them navigate key transition points in their academic journey.
Based in Gretton near Winchcombe, I deliver sessions from a purpose-built classroom designed to provide an engaging and resource-rich environment for active learning.
